Hydrogenated rapeseed oil

At Mateos SL we distribute hydrogenated oil/grease, bypass grease, as an additive for feed to livestock and feed manufacturers. The product is solid in appearance, in the form of microbeads for best dosage. Rapeseed is also high in vitamin E, with a concentration similar to sunflower oil.

It is produced by the hydrogenation of the double bonds of rapeseed oil, which raises its melting point (50-54°C). The advantages of this type of additives is the increase in the energy content of the animal’s feed and the ease of digesting it.

In the case of ruminants, hydrogenated fat or bypass fat, since it has a higher melting point, is protected by being more insoluble. Activity in the rumen is reduced and better energy use is obtained.

This is an additive with good palatability and a high fat content (99% min.)

It has used in cattle, pig and sheep-rearing.
